CJCSC Gen Khalid Shamim Wynne in Azerbaijan

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shameem Wynne, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan called on President, Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Arthur Rasizade.

The Chairman discussed matters related to mutual interest and regional situation with the dignitaries.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here on Thursday, the Chairman also called on Minister of Defence, Colonel General Safar Abiyev.

On arrival at Ministry of Defence, he was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of tri services.

Both leaders had a detailed discussion on enhancing defence cooperation between the two brotherly armed forces.

Earlier, Chairman visited the grave of National leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Alieyev and laid a wreath.

General Khalid Shameem Wynne also visited War College of the Azerbaijan armed forces.
