Liam Payne has seemingly chosen to remain mum about massive social media buzz around his baffling accent during an interview at Oscars 2022 on Sunday.

Taking to Instagram Story, the former member of One Direction dropped a photo of him looking absolutely stunning with fiancé Maya Henry at Elton John Aids Foundation’s 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party.

However, as reported by Metro, Payne ignored to address viewers’ reaction his live interview to Good Morning Britain as he talked about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on the biggest night of Hollywood.

Fans trolled the singer claiming that he sounded Dutch, Welsh, Italian, English and American all at once.

“Will Smith actually used to live behind my house, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing his son and his daughter very well. We did Men In Black III with him,” he had expressed.

“I believe whatever he felt that he did, he had the right to do. I also felt there were three losers in one fight. He didn’t know, being Chris Rock, he didn’t want to do what he had to do, being Will Smith, and she did nothing, being Jada,” he had added.
