GILGIT: Life in Gilgit-Baltistan has started returning to normalcy after seven-day mourning and violent protests over Kohistan incident in which 16 people were brutally shot dead on February 28.
According to sources, all government offices and educational institutions opened today after remaining closed for seven days as announced by the government. However, thin attendance was witnessed as tension is still prevailing in some areas.
Curfew imposed after firing incident over the rally of Anjuman-e-Imamia has also been lifted.
Police, Rangers and scouts have been deployed in different areas.
