Why Prince Harry and Meghan missed Queens late husband Philips event?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are facing backlash over their decision to miss Prince Philip's memorial service, might be thinking big about their future move.

There're speculations and rumours that Meghan was not interested to attend the service planned by the Queen to pay tribute to her late husband.

Some experts believe that if Harry attended the event it might bring him clos to the royal family, and he would regret the decision of not attending the service.

Others think his absence from the event may give more hype to the Duke's upcoming memoire, which may contain more damaging claims of the Royal Family.

Eric Schiffer, reputation management expert, believes there is a chance the memoir will contain more damaging claims of the Royal Family.

“The book, I am sure, will be hobbling in some ways to the monarchy. And create a further perception of maiming by Harry,” the expert told Express.co.uk.

Speaking about their absence, Russell Myers, royal editor at the Daily Mirror, told claimed that Harry and Meghan have “backed themselves into a corner”.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "must have known it would look petulant and rude".

She added: "The only explanation is that neither one of them wanted to go. There would have been no security problems. The whole Abbey was bristling with secret service men to guard the biggest gathering of royalty, politicians and top army brass since the London wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge."

"Harry must have known it would look petulant and rude. And if he did not Meghan would have. If it was a pointed snub to the whole Royal Family and it went sour," the author claimed.

It is to mention here that Harry and Meghan did not travel from California to the UK for the event at Westminster Abbey earlier this week amid the Duke's legal battle over police protection for his family in Britain.
