Prince Andrew writes his personal reflections of Falklands War on Sarah Fergusons Instagram page: report

Queen Elizabeth's son Prince Andrew wrote his personal "reflections" of the Falklands War on ex-wife Sarah Ferguson's Instagram page, which he signed off using his banned "HRH The Duke of York" title, according to reports.

Andrew wrote on the Duchess of York's Instagram post, that he had returned home from the war "a changed man" and signed off using his royal title which on the Queen's instructions, he is no longer permitted to use.

Sarah Ferguson shared a series of Instagram posts written by Prince Andrew after asking him to reflect on the fortieth anniversary of him leaving to serve in the Falklands War.

The Duke wrote, alongside an old photo of himself dressed in military uniform: "As I sit here at my desk on this cold crisp spring morning thinking back to April 1982 I’ve tried to think what was going through my mind as we sailed out of Portsmouth lining the flight deck of HMS INVINCIBLE".

He went on to write: "So whilst I think back to a day when a young man went to war, full of bravado, I returned a changed man. I put away childish things and false bravado and returned a man full in the knowledge of human frailty and suffering".

Omid Scobie, royal commentator and co-author of Finding Freedom, Tweeted: "Andrew was forced to shut down his social media accounts in January after the palace announced he would lose his honorary military titles and no longer use his HRH. But despite efforts to keep him in the background, it is clear that this prince still wants to be seen and heard".

In the original post, which has since been amended, Andrew signed off the post writing "Written by HRH The Duke of York", according to reports.
