HYDERABAD: The management of University of Sindh withdrew the dismissal orders of its eight faculty members on Monday.
According to a University spokesman, the eight faculty members who were dismissed by the previous University management included Dr Azhar Ali Shah Assistant Professor Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT), Dr. Arfana Begum Mallah Assistant Professor of Dr. M.A. Kazi Institute of Chemistry, Badaruddin Soomro Assistant Professor of the Department of Mass Communication, Dr Ayaz Keerio Assistant Professor of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMCS), Salma Leghari Assistant Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Dr. Rabia Asma Memon Assistant Professor of the Institute of Plant Sciences, Ishaq Samejo Assistant Professor of the Department of Sindhi and Asghar Raza Burfat Lecturer of the Department of Political Science.
The University management has withdrawn the dismissal order after approval of the request by the Chancellor's office, the spokesman said and added that the Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. Parveen Shah has requested the Chancellor for withdrawal of the dismissal orders and restoration of faculty members of the university on their posts from the date of the issuance of the dismissal orders and subject to withdrawal of the constitutional petition.
