Although PTI leaders claimed that the Peshawar jalsa was massive, but defying everyone, a party leader went overboard early Thursday as he shared a photo claiming that it was from the party's rally.
Knowingly or mistakenly, ex-state minister for parliamentary affairs Ali Muhammad Khan shared three pictures on Twitter after the rally, and among them was a picture from the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The snap was captured from the International Space Station.
The photo actually shows the lights in the Iberian Peninsula — which falls in Spain and Portugal.
"One of the Expedition 40 crew members aboard the International Space Station recorded this early evening photo of the entire Iberian Peninsula on July 26, 2014," the NASA post read.
However, the PTI leader, in the tweet, said: "Thank you, Peshawar! The sea of people has announced its decision."
Twitterati took no time to figure out that the image was not from the Peshawar jalsa and started trolling the ex-minister.
