Lahore: Computerized transport system underway
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that intelligent transport system is being introduced for the safety of life and property of passengers through use of modern equipment for controlling traffic system in the city.

Presiding over a meeting regarding launching of intelligent transport system on Friday, he said the system based on computer technology would help in smooth flow of traffic and ensure provision of timely help in case of any accident or emergency.

The Chief Minister said that the provincial government was making investment of billions of rupees for modernizing transport system for bringing it at par with international standard.

He said that the launching of intelligent transport system would help in maintaining a smooth flow of traffic during rush hours. Similarly,provision of timely help to the affected persons in case of any accident or emergency would be ensured, he added. (APP)
