MULTAN: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf and United Citizen Front (UCF)on Sunday staged a demonstration against proposed adoption of a resolution in the parliament for the restoration of logistic supply of NATO forces.
The activists shouted slogans against the rulers, NATO and US administration. They burnt the flags of NATO and United States. They chanted slogans," Go Zardari Go," Continue ban on logistic supply of NATO forces."
Ulema and students of local seminaries also staged a demonstration to condemn the assassination of a renowned scholar and talker of Radio Pakistan Abdul Rasheed Azhar who was killed by unknown assailant in Islamabad.
The demo was led by Mufti Abdul Rehman Shaheen and Qari Hidayatullah Rehmani. Demonstrators were demanding immediate arrest of the killers.
Activists of Pakistan Muslim League-N staged a demonstration against federal interior minister Rehman Malik and Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz for using derogatory remarks about Mian Shahbaz Sharif. Workers of Muslim league shouted slogans against the Rehman Malik and Raja Riaz and PPP leadership for using objectionable words.
The demo was led by Shahid Mukhtar Lodhi, Senior Vice President of PML-N Multan district.
