Newly married policeman, wife looted in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: A newly married policeman and his wife were deprived of their valuables by the armed robbers here on Monday, Geo News reported. They were on their way home after concluding the wedding customs when the incident took place.

According to sources, dacoits stopped the groom’s vehicle and snatched cash and jewellery from the couple and even from the guests.

The guests of the wedding told that the muggers maltreated the bride while taking away her jewellery and the police, who were present nearby, observed the entire drama as a mute audience.

CPO Gujranwala told that a case has been registered and investigations are underway to confirm the presence of police at the scene.
