Reportedly there were thirteen people inside the crumbling building, located in Choordi Saraay area of the city, when it caved in.
Rescuers have so far pulled six injured children out of the rubble, the rest of the people were yet trapped under the debris.
The rescue sources told Geo News that a power blackout was drastically hampering the relief work, as it was routine "loadshedding time" in the area.
