Ahmed Ali placed on ECL: Rehman Malik

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has placed Ahmed Ali on the Exit Control List (ECL). The MQM had accused Ahmed Ali from the Aman Committee of murdering their worker Mansoor Mukhtar.

Speaking to the media outside parliament, Malik said that action would be taken against criminal elements in Karachi.

The Interior Minister added that a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) had been formed which included members of different agencies.

A wave of violence swept through Karachi after an MQM activist was shot dead in the PIB colony area on Tuesday morning.

At least five people have been killed while 38 cars have been burnt across the city.
