ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested the General Manager of Pakistan Railways, Saeed Akhtar on charges of embezzlement and corruption.
According to NAB sources, Akhtar was arrested in Islamabad and is being brought to Lahore. He was summoned to the NAB office where he was taken into custody.
Akhtar claimed that he was innocent and all allegatios against him were baseless.
It is pertinent to mention here that Saeed Akhtar has been appointed GM Railways thrice.
