Karachi Port Grand cruise services soon

KARACHI: The Port Grand would initiate speedboat cruising.

An announcement here on Friday said that the Chairman of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Muhammad Aslam Hayat, would perform the
inauguration.

A ceremony to this effect would be organized at the Grand Port on Saturday.

These `ecotours' will be conducted on speedboats, it was further
stated.

According to a spokesman of Port Grand, these will sensitize the people to the existence of the vast mangrove plantations in or around
the Karachi bay.

He hoped that this introduction would help make people realize the need to protect mangroves and to prevent marine pollution. (APP)
