HYDERABAD: The nurses of government hospitals of Hyderabad continued their strike on the sixth consecutive day here on Friday to press for acceptance of their demands.
In this connection, the nurses held a protest demonstration in front of Hyderabad Press Club and also staged a sit- in which resulted in stoppage of vehicular traffic.
The representatives of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) including Dr. Hadi Bux Jatoi while speaking on the occasion endorsed the demands of the nursing staff and appealed to the government to accept their genuine demands.
As a result of strike, the management of Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad postponed surgical operations of patients while the admitted patients also suffered inconvenience in getting medical treatment. (APP)
