QUETTA: A complete shutterdown was observed here Friday in the city and surroundings against Spini Road firing incident that left six citizens killed and several others injured on Thursday last.
The strike was jointly called by Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party and Hazara Democratic Party while Balochistan National Party, Talal Bugti-led faction of Jamhoori Watan Party, Awami National Party and Markzi Anjuman-e-Tajran supported the shutter down.
Shops in main bazaar of the city remained completely closed besides thin traffic was witness on roads.
Attendance at schools, offices and banks also remained thin compared to routine. However, medical stores, restaurants and shops selling edible items remained opened.
Effective security arrangements had been made to shun any untoward situation on the occasion. (APP)
