Hyderabad Commissioner issues directives to housing department

HYDERABAD: The Commissioner Hyderabad Division has asked the officers of Sehwan Development Authority and other concerned departments to prepare a comprehensive strategy of laying the drainage line, repair and construction of roads in Sehwan Town so that the residents of the town could be facilitated through the basic needs.

Presiding over a meeting here at his office on Friday, the Commissioner underlined the need for providing new infrastructure
including laying of new drainage lines, repair and construction of roads
and beatification of Sehwan Town with tree plantation.

He asked the officers to prepare a comprehensive plan in this respect so that the same could be got approved from the government so that residents of the area could get facilities.

The Commissioner also directed for preparation of a plan for the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar so that maximum facilities could be provided to devotees who visit every year to pay homage to great Saint.

He directed the officers of Hyderdabad Development Project to complete all ongoing development schemes in Latifabad, Hyderabad City and Qasimabad Sub-Divisions before June 2012.

Sindh Chief Minister has directed to initiate strict action against those who failed to complete the ongoing development schemes in time, he informed.

Among others, the Managing Director Sehwan Development Authority, Superintending Engineer Works and Services, Additional Deputy Commissioner and officers of Hyderabad Development Project attended the meeting. (APP)
