KARACHI: The gold price in Pakistan declined by Rs1,000 per tola in line with the continuous decline in international prices.

According to rates issued by the All Sindh Sarafa Association, the yellow metal's price hit Rs142,000 per tola and increased by Rs858 to Rs121,742 per 10 grams.

A day earlier, the precious commodity closed at Rs142,000 per tola and Rs121,742 per 10 grams.

It should be noted that the market would remain closed from July 8 to July 12 on account of Eid ul Adha.

The price of the precious commodity decreased by $19 per ounce to settle at $1,744 in the international market and stayed below the key support level of $1,800 an ounce.

Meanwhile, the silver prices in the domestic market remained unchanged at Rs1,520 per tola and Rs1,303.15 per 10 grams today.
