Youth to be engaged in Islamabad's development
ISLAMABAD: The youth would be involved in decision making process for development of the capital city and redressing social issues as they are the true catalyst of change, said Chairman Prime Minister's Task Force on Islamabad Faisal Sakhi Butt Saturday.

Talking to a delegation of students, representing different universities of Islamabad, the Task Force head said the most planned city of the country lacks basic facilities mainly because the residents do not have their say in the fate and future development of the city.

He said that the Task Force has asked the Capital Development Authority and other allied organizations to adopt result oriented approach for resolving the chronic issues regarding city development and provision of quality civic amenities to the residents and has sought time line in this regard.

Faisal Butt assured its full support to the students for materializing their innovative ideas into a reality to help reinforce the efforts of the government being already taken in this regard.

He said that protection of environment and conservation efforts must be prioritized and Task Force is taking measures for energy conservation, efficient public transport system which would also cater for the special citizens, efficient disposal of waste, improving the green cover in the city. (APP)
