QUETTA: Unknown culprits blew up a foot-long part of railway track in Quetta around midnight on the night between Saturday and Sunday, Geo News reported.
Police sources said that unidentified men had planted explosive material with a railway track passing through Faizabad area of the metropolis and detonated it. As a result, over one foot portion of the track was damaged.
The law enforcement personnel soon after receiving information about the blast rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace out the suspects.
The Quetta-bound train Bolan Express which was coming from Karachi was immediately stopped at Sariab station outside Quetta city.
No loss of life was reported. The Pakistan Railways technical teams have reached the spot for repairing of the damaged portion of the track.
Police have been looking into the incident. No arrest was reported so far. Further probe was underway.
