The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Monday released rainfall data of Sindh for this year's monsoon season, according to which the heaviest rainfall, measuring 1539.5mm, was recorded in Padidan which is in the Naushahro Feroze district of the province.
The Met Office released the data of Karachi and other areas of Sindh for July and August.
Mohenjo Daro received 811.5mm of rainfall, Larkana 721.3mm, Tando Jam 689.9mm, Khairpur 660mm, Jacobabad 654mm, Chur 610.9mm, Rohri 581mm, Badin 543.2mm, Sakrand 538mm, Sukkur 478.5mm, Dadu 471.9mm, Shaheed Benazirabad 463mm, Mithi, 329mm and Mirpur Khas 450mm.
According to PMD, 407mm of rain was recorded in Hyderabad, while the highest rainfall in Karachi was 862mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed.
Apart from that, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Masroor received 713.9mm, Quaidabad 670.1mm, Defence Housing Authority (DHA) 612mm, PAF Base Faisal 583.1mm, Surjani Town 556mm, Nazimabad 477.1mm, Old airport 466.6mm, Saddar 445.2mm, Kemari 437.1mm, Orangi Town 426.1mm, University Road 424.1mm, Jinnah Terminal 379.1mm, Saadi Town 388mm, Gadap Town 351mm, Gulshan-e-Maymar 323.1mm and Korangi recorded 306mm of rainfall.
