Two gangs of dacoits busted; hashish, wine recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Saturday busted two gangs of dacoits and arrested nine other criminals from various areas of the city and recovered five pistols, 1.70 kilogram hashish, 32 wine bottles, snatched mobile phones and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, ASI Muhammad Niaz along with team of Shehzad town police station busted a gang of dacoits and recovered snatched mobile phones and other items from their possession. The gangsters were identified as Asar Khan, Shamas, Qadeer and Waqar. ASI Salman Shah along with another team from Shehzad town police nabbed four other dacoits identified as Ahmed, Yasir Uzair, Akhtar, Zarkhez Abbassi and recovered two 30 bore pistols from them.

On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Shaukat Mehmud arrested a drug pusher Nadeem and recovered 1.70 kilogram hashish from him while ASI Mian Imran from Aabpara police arrested Tariq Masih for possessing 30 wine bottles.

Meanwhile, ASI Arif Hussain from Bhara Kau police arrested Natiq Abbassi for having two wine bottles while ASI Tariq Rauf from CIA police arrested two thieves Faqeer Gul and Mumraiz Khan besides recovering stolen items from them.

Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar from Golra police arrested an accused Ameen for having 30 bore pistol. Likewise, ASIs Ali Asghar and Muhammad Gulzar from Tarnol police apprehended Imran Masih and Musawir Khan in possession of one 30 bore pistol each. ASI Muhammad Yunus from Bani Gala police arrested a fraudster Saleem and recovered snatched cash from him.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed accused and further investigation is underway from them.
