According to police, unidentified armed assailants riding a motorbike opened fire on him near Faizabad area while he was on his way home.
As a result, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The body of the deceased was shifted to the civil hospital's morgue for identification.
The armed attackers managed to escape from the scene after committing crimes.
The reason behind the killing could not be ascertained.
Police registered a case and started investigation. (APP)
