Punjab govt can arrest Rehman Malik: Sana

LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has hinted at the arrest of Federal Interior Rehman Malik if found involved in kidnapping of a citizen from Lahore city, Geo News reported.

While talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, the minister alleged that personnel from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) kidnapped a man from his house and anyone found involved in this may be arrested.

The minister said that Rehman Malik is an agent of many agencies and responsible for deteriorating law and order situation of Karachi. 'He played a role of an foreign agent in the metropolis.'

Turning his guns towards Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Rana blamed the ruling party of political gimmicking to save the convicted premier. 'The Punjab Assembly would not let the cheaters to continue with this evil game.'

On new provinces, the PML-N leader said Bahawalpur's provincial status be restored first. If PPP is sincere with South Punjab, Hazara and Fata, it should adopt constitutional means.
