MOSCOW: Two-time Russian champions Rubin Kazan on Wednesday won their first ever Russian Cup, beating Dynamo Moscow 1-0 in the final match at Yekaterinburg.
Midfielder Roman Yeremenko was the hero of the match, scoring the winning goal in the 78th minute with a 30-yard (metre) strike past Dynamo goalkeeper Anton Shunin.
Rubin previously played in the Russian Cup final in 2009 but were beaten 1-0 by another Moscow club, CSKA. (AFP)
