LAHORE: Protests against electricity outages continued in several cities of Pakistan on Thursday. In Faisalabad, protestors chanted slogans against the government, caused destruction to public property and stopped business from operating.
Over in the provincial capital Lahore, protestors burnt tyres and blocked traffic on several roads. In Vehari protestors clashed with the policed and attacked government offices. A similar situation was seen in Mandi Bahauddin as protestors clashed with the police.
Residents of Peshawar have also seen their lives severely impacted due to loadshedding. Businesses remain closed in several areas of the city while residents have to wait several hours for electricity.
