Zimbabwe win toss, bowl against India
HARARE: Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first as the first of three one-day internationals against a second-string Indian side got underway at Harare Sports Club on Friday morning.

With the game beginning at 9am local time (0700 GMT), the hosts hoped that their four seamers might find some early movement on a pitch that tends to flatten out as the day wears on.

Fast bowler Donald Tiripano returned to the Zimbabwe side for the first time in nearly a year, having recovered from a back injury.

Uncapped Indian players Manish Pandey and Sandeep Sharma were forced to wait for a potential debut as they were left out of the playing XI.

Zimbabwe: Sikandar Raza Butt, Richmond Mutumbami (wk), Sean Williams, Chamu Chibhabha, Hamilton Masakadza, Vusi Sibanda, Elton Chigumbura (capt), Graeme Cremer, Brian Vitori, Donald Tiripano, Tinashe Panyangara.

India: Ajinkya Rahane (capt), Murali Vijay, Ambati Rayudu, Manoj Tiwary, Robin Uthappa (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Stuart Binny, Axar Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni. (AFP)
