Netflix movie starring Tom Hardy is currently in the post-production mode and all set to release.
The streamer has been making deals with award-winning filmmakers and Gareth Evans is the latest who has joined hands with it.
Gareth Evans is most known for making Indonesian martial arts films like The Raid, The Raid 2, and Merantau, and critically acclaimed series like Gangs of London.
As per What's on Netflix, Tom Hardy was announced as the lead on February 21, because Netflix wanted to lock him before even confirming the director and Forest Whitaker was confirmed to star alongside Hardy on March 22.
The plot of the film released by Netflix is as follows: "The story is set after a drug deal gone wrong, when a bruised detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, while unraveling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city."
On June 28th, Timothy Olyphant also joined the cast of Havoc. Further cast members include, adding the talents of Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, and Yann Yann Yeo.
The filming of Havoc began on July 8, 2021, and officially came to an end on October 22, 2021.
The movie is slated to open on big screens in 2023. The date will be confirmed soon.
