LAHORE: Protests continued against loadshedding in Rahim Yar Khan and Tonsa Sharif districts of Punjab.
Protestors in Tonsa Sharif set fire to the PEPCO burning records, furniture and a car. A police contingent was rushed to the PEPCO office but protests continued. Residents complain that they are facing 18 to 22 hours and despite their repeated complaints nothing has been done to curtail the increasing loadshedding.
In Rahim Yar Khan, a large number of PML-N workers marched in protest against prolonged power outages from Town Hall to Railway Chowk. Protestors burnt tyres with some also breaking into the PEPCO office and causing damage.
