Our correspondent KARACHI: Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has asked the chief justice of the Sindh High Court (SHC) to assign a high court judge to conduct an inquiry into the firing on a rally in Karachi.
The chief minister wrote a letter on Tuesday night requesting Chief Justice Mushir Alam to assign a judge to probe the brazen gun attacks on the rally, which claimed the lives of at least 12 people and left another 35 wounded.
Shah also directed the law enforcement agencies to remain alert across the province in view of the strike call given by the Awami Tehreek to protest against Tuesday’s killings.
