LAHORE: District Drug Inspectors during a crackdown against spurious medicines checked 32 medical stores and sealed 4 stores for selling expired medicines.
Special teams of district health department also collected 17 samples of medicines for further action and 2 cases referred to District Quality Control Board.
The department during ongoing drive against quacks and monitoring teams conducted 59 raids on shops of quacks in different areas of the city. Nine FIRs were registered against the quacks in various police stations and two persons were arrested while 2 shops were sealed.
