Woman, child injured in firing

QUETTA: A woman and her child have been injured in an incident of firing in Satellite Town area of the provincial capital.

Police said on Tuesday that unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire at the house owned by one Asadullah in Satellite Town area last night. "As a result of the firing, a woman and a child present in the house received serious bullet injuries," police said adding that the assailants managed to flee.

The injured woman and the child were rushed to hospital for medical aid. The Satellite Town police have registered a case and started investigation into the incident.
