KARACHI: Fly Jinnah’s inaugural flight landed in Islamabad after departing from Karachi on Tuesday.
The inaugural flight 9p672 took off from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport for Islamabad at 1:11pm. The flight was scheduled to take off at 12pm but was delayed by an hour and 11 minutes.
Pakistan’s cheapest airline used a three-year old airbus A320 holding the registration number AP-BOP for its inaugural flight.
The airline will operate daily flights to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. It will take four flights to Quetta during the week.
The ticket for all destinations will cost Rs13,999 and passengers will be allowed to carry 10kg luggage. The passengers will also be provided entertainment during the flight.
The inauguration ceremony was held at a private hotel in Karachi. The chief operating officer of the airline, Arman Yahya, said that Fly Jinnah is a low-cost airline. He said that the airline will keep its operating expenses low, which will benefit the public in the shape of low fares.
“The support Air Arabia has given us is basically in the training area and their assistance is always with us," Yahya said at the ceremony.
