KARACHI: All Pakistan Muslim League APML Chief and former President Pervez Musharraf expressing profound grief over loss of precious lives in target killings at Karachi said it was being committed under a sheer conspiracy.
In statement issued from APML Central Information Secretariat Wednesday, he said Karachi is backbone of Pakistan's economy and any loss to port city proved detrimental to entire industrial, trade activities.
"During my tenure, Karachi was city of lights, great source of economic prosperity, booming all sorts of trade benefiting almost all sectors of life.
However, poor governance of present rulers, their ill-conceived policies and inability to surmount challenges has shattered peace in Karachi," he added. (PPI)
