15 killed, 30 injured as bus overturns in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Fifteen people, including three women and a child, were killed and thirty others injured when a bus overturned on the National Highway, 30 km away from Khanpur on Friday night, Geo News reported Saturday.

DSP Sheikh Abid said a Karachi-bound bus carrying 45 passengers was on its way from Peshawar which turned turtle due to speeding near Zafarabad.

As a result, nine passengers died on the spot while 36 others sustained critical injuries. Six others later succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

The injured were shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan and Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur.

Six deceased who were identified include Mujahid Hussain, Shakaf Ali, Mohammad Asif, Aisha Bibi, Manzoor Ahmed and Sajjad.
