LONDON: Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday met Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain and discussed issues regarding the situation prevailing in Sindh among overall domestic politics.
During the meeting, Rehman Malik conveyed messages of prosperity to Altaf Hussain from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
The Interior Minister said that PPP along with MQM and its other allies will continue to foil all actions against the democracy.
The minister said that some elements were trying to instigate turbulence in Sindh. PPP and MQM along with their coalition partners in the province will fail those elements, he added.
He praised Altaf Hussain for playing exemplary role for the stability of democracy and welfare of the state.
