Lahore: Ferozsons bookstore on Mall Road gutted

LAHORE: A big-name bookstore situated on Mall Road was gutted here on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

Fire, which erupted in one of Ferozsons --a major publishing house in Lahore— main outlets, took no time in consuming most of the paper merchandise and other material in the shop.

Reportedly the fire started at around 12:40 PM.

It took three hours before the firefighters could douse the flames.

At least 15 fire-tenders participated in the operation.

The owners, who suffered multi-million rupee losses, strongly suspect arson behind the incident as the fire had erupted during loadshedding hours and the store also did not maintain any urgent power supply or a backup electricity generator.
