Rangers man among 5 killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Five persons including a Rangers’ sub-inspector were killed while two others sustained injuries in various incidents of firing in the metropolis Thursday, Geo news reported.

According to the police, Rangers’ sub-inspector Abdul Hameed Chanchar was gunned down in front of his house in Madina Colony of Korangi area. Another man was shot dead at Maripur road.

In another incident, unidentified armed men opened fire near an eye hospital located in the adjoining area of Lee Market, killing one person and injuring the other while a body was also found from Lyari area.

Asad Hussain, 35 was also gunned down in Korangi area. The incident was attributed to target killing by police. One person sustained injuries in a separate incident of firing in Korangi No. 4.
