ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Pervez Rashid on Tuesday said it is not in favour of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain to deliver speeches off the cuff.
Talking to media persons here, the Information Minister advised Hussain to either put his speeches on the paper first or get someone who is mentally sound to write them for him.
“Don’t get your speeches penned by anyone against whom you have to issue a Fatwa later that he is weak in the head,” Pervez Rashid added.
He said Altaf Hussain should offer an apology to the security forces over his recently delivered speech.
He also advised Altaf Hussain to publicly take back his words by saying that it was written for him by his party’s member Muhammad Anwar.
Dozens of FIRs lodged against MQM Chief
At least 31 FIRs have so far been registered against MQM Chief, Altaf Hussain in different cities across of Pakistan for his speech in which he criticized the security institution of the country.
