Rehman Malik made PM Gilani's advisor

ISLAMABAD: The government has appointed Rehman Malik as Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior, Geo News reported.

The Cabinet Division has issued the notification to this effect. The Supreme Court on Monday had suspended his Senate membership owing to his dual nationality.

In exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 93 of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President, on advice of Prime Minister, has been pleased to appoint, with immediate effect, Mr. A. Rehman Malik as Adviser to Prime Minister on Interior, with the status of Federal Minister, says a notification received from Cabinet Secretariat here today.
