Killers score six more as violence continues in Karachi
KARACHI: The city witnessed no respite from the on-going violence in the metropolis as six men including a political party worker were gunned down in different firing incidents, Geo News reported.

According to police, unknown gunmen in PIB Colony killed Sohail Hussain, 28, who was an MQM activist. The killing sparked more violence as unknown armed men resorted to firing that hurt six more and set ablaze two vehicles.

MQM leader Dr Saghir Ahmed said that the deceased was a party worker.

24-year-old Zubair lost his life in Golimar area when assailants shot him dead and another man was killed in Maripur area.

A medicolegal officer, Dr Aftab Channard, told Geo News that another firing victim, Mohammad Anwar, 23, who was shot at near Pakistan Chowk, died in the surgical ward of Civil Hospital.

Two bodies were found in gunny bags from Lyari Expressway near Liaquatabad.

In addition to that, shooting also injured two people including a woman in Qasba Colony. The victims were identified as Salman, 22, and Akhtar Jehan, 30.

Also, a stray bullet wounded a minor girl in the Perabad area. Moreover, unidentified armed men's gunshots sent Shireen Bibi, 45, to the casualty ward of a hospital, but she survived.
