PHP recover narcotics, illegal weapons

LAHORE: Punjab Highway Patrol arrested 177 criminals and recovered huge quantity of narcotics and illegal weapons in May last.

A spokesman of the PHP said on Sunday that officials arrested 40 culprits and recovered 34 pistols, four rifles, seven guns, 18 magazines and 626 bullets.

The officials also arrested 73 drug peddlers and recovered 4,593 Kg charas, 35 liter liquor, 100 grams heroin and 125 gram opium.

The PHP arrested 64 robbers and recovered stolen wood worth Rs 316,000, three cattle and five mobile phones, the spokesman added.
