CM Punjab vows to punish rapist

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that elements involved in criminal assault on children are worst enemies of the society and law-enforcing agencies should remain vigilant for bringing them to justice.

He expressed these views while offering his sympathies to family members of a 9-year-old girl who was subjected to sexual torture by some elements in village Chand Bharwana, district Jhang.

Expressing his sorrow and anguish over the incident of distribution of video prepared by the misguided youth after torturing the girl student of class II, the Chief Minister enquired from DPO as to where was the area police when this objectionable video was being distributed by such shameless elements.

The CM assured the father of the victim girl Abdul Rehman his support and said that this was a heinous crime of gang rape which would be tried in the anti-terrorist court to ensure that culprits meet their logical end. (APP)
