KARACHI: Eminent scholar, writer and television host Obaidullah Baig passed away in Karachi Friday morning, Geo News reported. He is survived by a wife and three daughters.
His funeral will be held today after Friday prayers at Sultan Masjid, Defence, family sources told.
The veteran was a famous Urdu writer, novelist, columnist and media expert from Karachi.
Obaidullah Baig teamed up with Iftikhar Arif in 1970s and then with Ghazi Salahuddin and Quraish Pur in 1990s and won renown for the famous quiz show “Kasauti”.
He was awarded a 'Pride of Performance' (August 14, 2008) for his achievements in the Pakistani media.
