Following an increase in sales tax, Honda Atlas Cars Friday decided to pass on the burden to its customers by raising the price of its completely knocked down (CKD) models.
The carmaker cited the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, volatile business situation, and increase in sales tax as three major reasons behind its decision to increase the prices by up to Rs550,000, a notification issued in this regard said.
Since January 2023, this was the third time the company has raised the price of its CKD models.
The news retail sale price (RSP) would be applicable on all new orders booked from February 18, and onwards.

It should be noted that the new retail sale price will also be applicable on existing back orders as on February 17 and all new orders from February 18 and onwards.
Meanwhile, a 1% additional sales tax will be applied on all back orders with complete payment as per February 6 price increase letter conditions.
The automaker further mentioned that all unclear back orders (except civic) as on February 17, 2023 due till March 23 can be invoiced if deposit their full payment (February 6 price + 1% additional sales tax) by February 27 (instrument date till February 27).
Moreover, the aforementioned prices are subject to change and prices prevailing at the time of delivery will be final as any change in government levies and taxes will be borne by the customers.
A day earlier, Honda Atlas notified an increase in the rates of its motorcycles as well.
