Local residents, who rushed to the collapsed building, pulled nine people out of the ten trapped under the debris even before rescue teams had reached the spot, sources said.
The people rescued, some of them badly injured, are being shifted to the hospital.
Sources added that search is on for the tenth person who was still trapped under the rubble.
