ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik Friday said complete security would be provided to Afghanistan bound containers temporarily from Karachi to Khyber PakhtunKhwa.
Talking to the media outside Parliament House, he said all the inspector generals have been directed to provide security cover to the containers in their respective jurisdiction.
Rangers, local Police would provide security cover to containers in Sindh while Police and Frontier Constabulary will escort containers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Regarding the long march of Defa-e-Pakistan Council, he said they are free to exercise their right of protest; however strict action would be taken on any violation of law.
Replying to a question he said, parliament is the right forum to amend the constitution and amendments would be enacted by legislators after thorough debate.
On a question, he said he has already surrendered his dual nationality, which was applied under worst circumstances. Dual nationality was allowed in Pakistan in the constitution of 1951, he added.
