Danish Atlas, Nasir, Hamzah in World Junior C’ship Round 4

KARACHI: Pakistan’s top junior player Danish Atlas Khan, Nasir Iqbal and Syed Hamzah Shah Bukhari cruised into the fourth round of Doha WSF World Junior Squash Championship as Tayyab

Aslam fall in the race for the prestigious title.Danish, the third seed from Peshawar took only 24 minutes to brush aside Brazilian Josimar Silva registering a convincing 11/4, 11/3, 11/7 triumph at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complexin the Qatar capital Doha.

Meanwhile, Nasir Iqbal proved a bit more efficient in the third round than Danish and took only 20 minutes to dispatch Cheuk Yan Tang of Hong Kong registering a straight-set 11/3, 11/5, 11/1 victory.

Syed Hamzah Shah Bukhari also followed his compatriots in registering a straight-set triumph in the round but took time to beat Englishman Richie Fallows beating him 14/12, 11/4, 11/9 in 63 minutes.

Unseeded Tayyab Aslam pulled a set against seeded Belgian Jan van den Herrewegen and gave him tough resistance before conceding 11/7, 7/11, 11/9, 11/9 defeat in the marathon 71-minute match easily thelongest match of the day.
