ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Friday distributed cash and other victuals among the families of martyred police personnel, giving the message as never forgetting their brave cops and providing every possible assistance to their bereaved families.
Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan handed over these goods to the families of martyred personnel here in a ceremony at Police Line Headquarters.
DIG (Headquarters) Ahmed Mukaram, AIG (Establishement) Ashraf Zubiar Siddiqui, AIG (Operation) Tahir Alam Khan, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
Paying tributes to the martyred personnel, the IGP said that Islamabad police would never forget their gallant cops who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
He consoled the families and paid eloquent tributes to the martyrs.
The IGP said that Capital cops are proud of martyred personnel who bravely foiled the nefarious design of anti-social elements and averted many terror attacks.
Bani Amin Khan also announced for allotting free plots to martyred cops’ families in the proposed housing society of Islamabad police and said that school would be also established to ensure quality education to their children.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan said that families of martyred cops would be remembered at every important occasion and every possible assistance would be provided to them.
"We are proud that Capital Cops have always kept dictum of duty before self and the entire nation as well as the cops’ department is proud of the gallant Shaheeds”, he added.
DIG (Headquarters) Ahmed Mukaram said though there can be no compensation for the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation, however, Islamabad police would provide every possible relief and financial support to the bereaved families.
“All these martyred cops have written a golden chapter with their blood and we are proud of them. They would never be forgotten and their families to be treated as our own families,” the DIG (Headquarters) said.
He said that 68 next of kin of Shaheed/deceased police officers have been recruited in different cadres of Islamabad police according to their academic qualification under Prime Minister’s Assistance Package.
He said this process is still going on to assist the families of Shaheed police offices who died or become Shaheed during service. (PPI)
