Fake passport scandal: 12 including GM NADRA suspended
LAHORE: Twelve personnel of NADRA including the General Manager Lahore have been suspended following a report in the British newspaper ‘The Sun’ which claimed to have revealed a fake Pakistani passport and visa ring.

All the suspended individuals are from NADRA’s Lahore office. Interior advisor Rehman Malik said the names of all suspended officials had been placed on the ECL.

The investigator for the newspaper had met with a fixer (Bobby) in Lahore who claimed that he could get fake travel documents made for approximately 600 pounds.

The investigator was taken to NADRA where his photograph and fingerprints were taken and his new identity was made.

According to the SUN, their investigator was taken to two separate passport and ID offices and up to 12 people were involved in the scam.
